Course Entry Requirements

To gain entry into this course, applicants must have at least one of the following:

  • a recognised bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • a recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline plus a minimum of two years equivalent full-time relevant experience
  • a recognised graduate certificate in a related discipline.*

*Related graduate certificates include Swinburne Online’s Graduate Certificate of Business Administration, Graduate Certificate of Project Management, Graduate Certificate of Cybersecurity and Graduate Certificate of Management. You may be exempt from some units if you have already completed them in your graduate certificate.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows students to gain credit (advanced standing) towards their course in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Speak to a Course Consultant about applying for RPL.

Award requirements

To qualify for the award of Master of Business Administration, students must complete 150 credit points comprising of:

  • Nine (9) core units (112.5 credit points)
  • Two (2) elective units (25 credit points).

Students admitted based on successful completion of the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Business Administration are not required to repeat units completed.
